What is planking? seriously, it sounds almost sexually preverted. I'll explain below:
Definition of Planking
- Planks is collective, especially when used for flooring or maybe as part of a ship.
- The construction / carpentry process of laying planks.
- A game - Lying face down in an uncommon location.
- A structure made of planks.
- A slang term used for having sex with an object and not a real person.
As you can see above, planking has several different meanings and can get a little confusing depending on the cultural use of the person you are talking to a reader of an article you published that uses the word planking to refer to something. It's best with multi-meaning words such as planking to add a little bit more detail along with with just to avoid embarising confusion (especially if it's in a public place).
Planking can be a REALLY fun word to use at a bar or social event where people consume large amounts of alcohol.
